Just an Announcer Bar

What it does

Display a horizontally scrolling announcement bar at the top or bottom of your store. Merchants can edit text, colors, height, speed, and optionally show an icon or emoji. No backend or external storage required; all settings are saved in the Theme Editor.

How to use

1. Install the app from the Shopify App Store (or the install link in your Partner Dashboard).
2. Go to Online Store → Themes → Customize.
3. Open App embeds and enable “Announcer Bar”.
4. Configure:
   • Messages: Separate multiple messages using | (example: Free shipping | 30-day returns).
   • Icon or Emoji: Set an emoji to override the icon.
   • Colors, Bar height, Speed, Pause on hover, Position.
5. Save and preview your storefront.

FAQ

Does it require a backend? No. All configuration is stored in Shopify via the Theme Editor.

Does it affect performance? It uses a single CSS animation and defers any script; it respects prefers-reduced-motion.

Can I remove it? Yes. Disable or uninstall like any app embed; the theme isn’t modified directly.

Privacy

We do not collect, transmit, or store any merchant or customer data. The app contains no tracking scripts, and all settings are stored by Shopify within your theme configuration.
